Shared With Me vs organization spaces

Overview

CADchat separates spaces you own or manage (organization spaces) from spaces others have shared with you directly (Shared With Me). Understanding the difference helps you find spaces quickly.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Shared With Me to see spaces shared with you from outside your organizations.
  2. Click an organization name to see spaces you own or are a member of within that organization.
  3. Click any space card to open it.

Additional details

  • Shared With Me includes spaces from organizations you are not a member of, shared via a direct invite or link.
  • Organization spaces appear under the specific organization name in the left navigation.
  • Your permissions in a shared space depend on how the owner configured them — you may have view-only, comment, or edit access.

Troubleshooting

  • If a space you were invited to is not visible, check both Shared With Me and your organization list.
  • If your access level seems wrong, ask the space owner to review your permissions in the Invite Users panel.
