Use search to find spaces and files

Overview

CADchat's search tool lets you find spaces and files quickly without scrolling through your organization. Use it any time you know the name of what you're looking for.

Steps

  1. Click the Search bar at the top center of any page.
  2. Type a space name or file name.
  3. Click a result to open it directly.

Additional details

  • Search covers spaces and files across organizations you belong to.
  • The search overlay closes automatically if you click outside it.
  • Results appear as you type — you do not need to press Enter.

Troubleshooting

  • If nothing appears, try typing more characters or check your spelling.
  • If the overlay closes unexpectedly, click the search bar again and retype your query.
  • If a result you expect is not showing, you may not have permission to access that space or file.
