Troubleshooting access and permissions
Overview
CADchat enforces access at both the organization level and the space level. Even if you belong to an organization, you may not have access to every space within it.
Steps
- Verify you are signed in with the correct account (check your avatar/profile in settings).
- Try opening the space from Shared With Me, your organization list, or search results.
- If you see a permission error, contact the space owner or an org admin and ask to be invited.
- If you were recently invited, try refreshing the page.
Additional details
- Organization membership does not automatically grant access to all spaces. Spaces have their own member lists.
- If you were given a general link, your access level depends on the General Access setting the owner configured.
- Permissions can be adjusted at any time by the space owner from the Invite Users modal.
Troubleshooting
- If a space you were a member of is now inaccessible, you may have been removed. Ask the owner to re-add you.
- If your access level seems wrong (e.g., you can view but not comment), ask the owner to check your permission level in the Invite Users modal.
- If access is inconsistent across devices, check that you are logged into the same account on each device.
