Upload a file in chat

Overview

You can share images directly in the space chat. This is useful for sharing screenshots, reference photos, or any visual context with collaborators.

Steps

  1. Open the Chat panel in the right side of the space.
  2. Click the image upload icon (photo icon) in the message composer toolbar.
  3. Select the image file from your device.
  4. The image appears as a preview in your message. Add text if needed.
  5. Click send.

Additional details

  • Uploaded images appear inline in the chat history and are visible to all space members.
  • Image uploads are separate from 3D model files and document uploads — they are chat attachments only.
  • Large images may take a moment to upload depending on your connection speed.

Troubleshooting

  • If the image upload icon is missing, ensure you are in the Chat panel and not in a Thread Details composer.
  • If an image fails to upload, check your internet connection and try again.
